Demystifying Astral Projection

My Journey to Harnessing Dream Insights

Demystifying Astral Projection

When I first encountered the concept of Astral Projection as a Macrocosmic Vigor within the Starchetype System, I'll admit I was hesitant to discuss it openly, let alone teach it to my students. In a world where esoteric concepts are often sensationalized or dismissed, speaking about the deliberate venture into multi-dimensional consciousness can at best, raise more than a few eyebrows, and at worst, elicit extreme disinformation that can actually be harmful in practice. But after years of working with clients across the Starchetype spectrum—particularly those with Augur, Creatrix, and Voidwalker imprints who hold Astral Projection as a primary Vigor—I've come to recognize the profound importance of demystifying this practice.

What Astral Projection Is (And Isn't)

First, let's clear up some misconceptions. Within the Starchetype System, Astral Projection isn't about having out-of-body adventures where you float around spying on your neighbors or visiting distant planets (though I won't dismiss anyone's personal experiences). It's not a party trick, not a gimmick for gathering information, and not something reserved for the spiritually elite (or "sigma bros" on Reddit looking to biohack their DNA🫢😂).
At its essence, Astral Projection is the deliberate venture into multi-dimensional consciousness—a natural ability to access experiences that transcend our physical reality. This can include what many refer to as out-of-body experiences, remote viewing, and receiving insights from various realms beyond our immediate sensory perceptions. It's often experienced during sleep or dream states, allowing individuals to receive profound insights and codes that can be brought back into physical reality.
In other words, it's a sophisticated means of accessing wisdom beyond the confines of our three-dimensional experience. And whether you consciously recognize it or not, you're already engaging with this ability in some form—most commonly through your dream states.

My Personal Journey with Dream Wisdom

My relationship with dreams has always been significant, but it wasn't until I began consciously cultivating my connection to Astral Projection that I recognized these dreams as gateways to multi-dimensional insights rather than random neural firings or symbolic processing.
The most transformative shift in my practice came when I stopped viewing sleep as merely a biological necessity and began approaching it as a sacred opportunity for receiving guidance, connecting with broader consciousness, and accessing creative solutions I couldn't reach through my waking mind alone.
This shift didn't happen overnight...pun intended. It required intentional cultivation and the development of specific practices to strengthen my ability to not only receive insights during sleep but—perhaps more importantly—to bring those insights back into my waking consciousness where they could be applied.

My Physical Sleep Optimization Practices

I've discovered that the quality of my physical sleep directly impacts my ability to engage with Astral Projection and recall the insights I receive. Here's what has worked for me:
Creating optimal breathing conditions has been transformative. After being diagnosed with a deviated septum and undergoing jaw surgery (a rather extreme solution, I know), I discovered more accessible tools like nasal dilators. I personally use the Mute brand and have noticed a significant difference in my sleep quality and dream recall. (This isn't medical advice—if you have breathing difficulties, please consult with a healthcare professional.)
I've also found that not eating 2-4 hours before bed dramatically improves my ability to enter deeper dream states. When our bodies are busy digesting, they allocate energy toward that process rather than toward the subtle energetic shifts that facilitate Astral Projection.
Perhaps the most significant change I've made is transitioning to red lighting in the evenings. The Govee brand lightbulbs throughout my home allow me to shift to red spectrum lighting about two hours before bed. Blue light suppresses melatonin production and disrupts our natural circadian rhythms, while red light allows our bodies to prepare properly for sleep. This small change has had a profound impact on both my sleep quality and dream recall.

Bridging Dream Consciousness with Waking Life

The practices above create the optimal conditions for receiving insights, but the true art lies in successfully bringing those insights back across the threshold into waking consciousness. Here's what has worked for me:
First, I've intentionally trained my body to wake up earlier than necessary, creating a sacred liminal space between sleep and full wakefulness. During this time, I immediately record voice notes (utilizing my Clairaudient channel) to capture insights before they evaporate in the harsh light of day.
I follow this with a practice many know as "morning pages"—stream-of-consciousness writing that bypasses the analytical mind and allows dream insights to flow freely onto the page. I don't edit, judge, or even necessarily read what I've written in this state. The act of writing itself helps to cement the connection between my dream consciousness and my waking awareness.
What I've discovered is that my most innovative and creative work emerges from these practices—not because I'm "traveling" somewhere to collect information, but because I'm accessing parts of my consciousness that remain largely untapped during normal waking hours.

Developing Your Own Practice

While I've shared my personal practices, I want to emphasize that developing your relationship with Astral Projection is a deeply individual journey. What works for one person may not work for another.
➡️ If you're interested in exploring this Vigor more deeply, I encourage you to start with these simple steps:
Set a clear intention before sleep. This might be as simple as, "I intend to remember my dreams and bring back valuable insights for my journey." This conscious direction helps activate your multi-dimensional awareness.
Keep a dream journal by your bed and record insights immediately upon waking, before the analytical mind takes over. Don't worry about these making logical sense—focus on capturing the essence of what you experienced.
Pay attention to synchronicities that appear in your waking life that might connect to your dream experiences. These connections are often signposts that you're successfully bridging the gap between dimensions.
Approach the practice with curiosity rather than expectation. Frustration and pressure often block the natural flow of this ability. Instead, cultivate a sense of wonder about what might be revealed to you.
Most importantly, remember that this ability isn't about escaping your physical reality—it's about enriching it by bringing through wisdom that can help you navigate your journey with greater clarity and purpose.

The Broader Perspective

Understanding Astral Projection as part of your multidimensional toolkit can transform how you view sleep, dreams, and even daydreaming states. Rather than dismissing these experiences as irrelevant to "real life," you begin to recognize them as valuable channels for accessing insights beyond your individual perspective.
For those who hold Astral Projection as a primary Vigor (particularly Augurs, Creatrix, and Voidwalkers), cultivating this ability isn't just a nice-to-have—it's an essential part of fulfilling your cosmic blueprint and contributing your gifts to our collective evolution.
As we prepare to welcome the Steward's Illumination Phase (The Pentagram) beginning on 5/5, I encourage you to explore how you might integrate the dream wisdom you receive with the practical, earthy energy the Steward embodies. This combination of multi-dimensional insight and grounded implementation creates powerful potential for meaningful transformation.
Your dreams aren't just processing your day—they're gateways to wisdom that can illuminate your path forward. By consciously cultivating your connection to these realms, you honor your multidimensional nature and access guidance that can support both your individual journey and our collective awakening.
Sweet dreams, fellow Cosmic Adventurers! May the insights you bring back transform not only your life but our shared reality.
